ReCycle UniQUiLY receives the Sierra Club newsletter everyday and we wanted to share with you some great news from the most recent newsletter we received! 

The Story

I received a newsletter at the beggining of October. 

The newsletter contained information regarding a protest that the Sierra Club members were going to have. 

A group of active members of the Sierra Club were fighting in regard to a large oil pipeline  that is planned to be installed in some region of the United States.

 Their intention was to show President Barack Obama that the decision to allow the installation of the pipeline in the United States had to be reconsidered and possibly not made due to adverse consecuenses to the environment. 

The Sierra Club members marched around the White House last November 6th and just today sent out another newsletter regarding the result of their march. They suceeded in causing a rethinking of the decision! 

That pipeline (Keystone XL pipeline) would have carried around more than 90,000 barrels of dirty oil from Canada to the Golf Coast. The proposal to install it here is a major none-enviromental decision and our recycling peers at the Sierra Club have managed to delay its installation and possibly cancel it!
