Here are the "small actions and decisions" for the second week of this segment. Last week we concentrated on recycle actions and decisions to take when shopping, this week is all about your home:
1. Divide your trash: Make a small research about what things are recycled in your area. Make sure to separate the rest of the trash from these things that can be recycled. Set a bag where to put these items. When the bag fills up, take it to the recycling center.
2. What cant be recycled in your area?: Some of the things that cant be recycled in your area may be able to be recycled by hand. If you have a container of this kind think about what you can do with it!
3. Reducing pesticides and chemicals: Try to reduce harsh chemicals and pesticides around the grass or plants outside your home. This one rule might be a little hard to achieve and has little to do with recycling but it is good for the planet and you can resolve to do it just for this week! The little that you do can turn in to the lot that will help the planet!
** We encourage you to take these actions always but to make it a little easier you can take these "small actions and decisions" of the week. Each week there will be three new rules so you can plan on going through with them just for the week! Of course if you find that one of these rules you can apply to your daily living always be sure to do just that! Thank you!
